R Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, as attorney Michael Avenatti confirms he will show a second sex tape allegedly featuring the singer ‘engaged in sexual assault of a minor’ to prosecutors.

Kelly’s attorney Steve Greenberg entered the plea for the R&B artist in a Chicago courtroom on Monday.

He told the judge Kelly turned in his passport, but has yet to post his bail. The sexual assault charges involve four women, including three who were underage when prosecutors allege that the abuse occurred, with the incidents happening between 1998 and 2010.

On Saturday, the singer’s bond was set at a steep $1million, and the 52-year-old has not been able to post bail yet – in order to leave custody, he’d have to cough up 10 percent, or $100,000.

The rapper has reportedly been in financial trouble since the allegations against him, and since the recent Netflix documentary detailing the alleged abuse, came to light.

Greenberg told Associated Press Kelly could be released on Monday or Tuesday, and earlier this week he cited ‘mismanagement,’ ‘hangers-on,’ and ‘bad deals’ as reasons he ‘doesn’t have any money at this point.’

He is expected to appear in court on 8 March.

Attorney Michael Avenatti has revealed he and his legal team obtained a second video which allegedly shows Kelly, real name Robert Sylvester Kelly, ‘engaged in sexual assault of a minor’ and said he will be giving it to prosecutors.

He wrote: ‘I can confirm that we will be providing a second video showing R. Kelly engaged in sexual assault of a minor to prosecutors this morning. This tape was recently uncovered in connection with our ongoing nationwide investigation on behalf of victims. Justice must be done.’

The video tape allegedly shows Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old, which was denied by Kelly’s attorney.

The 55-minute video allegedly features the same 14-year-old who appeared in the first one, and is believed to have R Kelly ‘coaching’ her through various sexual situations.

The second film allegedly took place in 2000, a year after the first one, and Avenatti is trying to get hold of a third tape featuring a different girl, TMZ reports.

Surviving R Kelly, which originally aired on US channel Lifetime in January covers a host of allegations against the star, including his marriage to 15-year-old singer Aaliyah, rumours of a ‘sex cult’ and details of both sexual and physical abuse, told by a number of stars including his ex-wife Andrea Kelly.

His lawyer said victims who came out to accuse the singer had been ‘coached.’

‘He believes that the scripted documentary by Lifetime has created collusion between and amongst female friends who have been converted to victims […] The dissemination of information through media and social outlets have created an environment of possible collusion amongst female acquaintances who have been mistakenly coached to become victims.’

Represented by Gloria Allred, Latresa Scaff and Rochelle Washington came forward publicly for the first time with their claims, alleging they were 16 and 15 when the star invited them to a hotel room, where he exposed himself and attempted to have sex with them. While Scaff said she did sleep with him, Washington said that she hid in the bathroom.

Both said they were willing to testify under oath.
